R.J. 'Gus' Wiles Scholarship
In honour of our friend, colleague and valued teacher Gus, I am challenging you to join with me to establish the R. J. ‘Gus’ Wiles Scholarship Endowment Fund for Chemical Engineering students.
For five decades, Gus has been the ‘go to’ person for our students and industry alike. Looking for a vacation job? See Gus. Got an assignment that is overdue? See Gus. Looking for a job? See Gus. Looking to employ a vacation student? See Gus. Looking to employ a graduate? See Gus. Want to take 150 students to Gladstone? See Gus. Want to study abroad ? See Gus!
Together, we can raise $500,000 to establish two endowed scholarships that will ensure that the legend of Gus and his selfless commitment to students continues in perpetuity.
Donating to the R. J. ‘Gus’ Wiles Scholarship Endowment Fund will secure financial support far into the future for Chemical Engineering students and will continue to promote the academic excellence of this university.
Gus said he is proud to be associated with the scholarship and would particularly like to encourage meritorious students with an adventurous spirit to study abroad for one semester.
